What a perfect little wintry scene this turned out to be! This Christmas diorama had extra special meaning simply because I used a couple of vintage deer figurines from my childhood… special memories!
Tools & Supplies:
(I also used some red ribbon and a sprig of pine to top off the lid of the jar)
- One large glass jar
- Fake sprinkle snow
- Figurines to make a scene inside your jar
- Battery operated fairy lights (Mine have a timer that turns them on and off every day which makes it so nice!! I bought mine HERE)
- Hot glue gun
With my hot glue gun I tacked the light strand down to the bottom of the jar
I used one small dot of hot glue in between each tiny light, spiraling the wire as I went
I also made sure to leave enough wire to pull the battery pack out when the batteries needed changing
Glue the trees to the bottom of the jar to keep them secure
Now place the battery pack where you want it
Turn your lights on and then add the snow
Add the rest of your figurines (I was so excited to use my little deer I decorated with when I was a small girl…they were my favorite back then and still are today!)
Tie a bow around the lid of the jar and with a dab of hot glue, add a sprig of pine.
Beautiful!!!
Happy Holidays!!!
