Are you looking for something really different and fun to surprise your significant other with on Valentine’s Day? Then you will definitely want to make these super cute, felt fortune cookies complete with sweet little love notes tucked inside. These cookies are extra cute arranged inside Valentine themed, Chinese take-out boxes with a pair of real chop sticks. They look sweet enough to eat!
You could even slip an a nice, fancy engagement ring inside one of them…
These little guys are a cinch to make, so easy in fact that I got carried away and made a ton of em!
Supplies:
- You can sprinkle fine iridescent glitter and add some curly Valentine ribbon here and there to make these cookies even more festive!
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Paper
- Scissors
- Felt
- Hot Glue Gun
To make the pattern, draw a 4in x 4in cross on your paper
Now make a circle by connecting the points of the cross
Cut it out
Start cutting out your felt pieces using your pattern
Fold hot glue the edge (not quite halfway), leaving one side open. Leave it large enough to slide your note or goodies inside
Slide in your note or whatever you want to put inside. If the opening is too large, you can hot glue it smaller
Fold the felt in half, bringing the ends together
Add a dab of hot glue to keep it’s shape
They look good enough to eat!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
