Recycle Party Invite into Name Tag

What a concept!  The next time you wrap a present for a party, turn that paper party invitation into a clever name tag to put on your gift!  This little idea will not only save you a trip to the store, but it will also be a special keepsake for the recipient to keep in their scrapbook!

You can do this for anything…weddings, birthdays, etc…

I would enjoy taking all of the credit for this one, but my wonderful Mom is really the one I learned this nifty trick from.  Love you MOM!!  😉

If you can cut paper with scissors, you can do this.  EASY!!!

You’ll need your invitation…

…cut out the cute picture part.

With this one I punched a small hole in the corner so I could hang it with ribbon…

Now just write down who the present is from on the back and attach it to your gift!  SOOOO easy!

You are a genius! What a clever way to tag a gift. I usually forget to buy a card and then have to scramble for one. Your idea does away with the card scrambling, the cost of the card (you could spend more on the gift), and the issue of storing the card for those of us who can’t throw anything away! I will be using this idea on the next gift I give. Thank you for sharing. Love your blog!

I’m glad you liked this idea Pam! I know what you mean, I ALWAYS forget a card and hate having to drive to the store and spend the 2 or 3 bucks to buy one ;)!
