Well it’s about that time of year again when we start thinking about our favorite lovey-dovey holiday! I don’t know about you, but more than half the Valentine’s days gone past I’ve needed a last minute gift idea to surprise my honey with, and that’s why I love this project so much…it’s quick, easy, and the best part is that you can personalize it with your sweetheart’s favorite candy!
I’ll show you how I literally throw this one together, just in time for the big day 😉
- Red Bow (to tie around neck of mason jar)
- Bag of favorite candy
- Pack of valentine tissue paper
- Pack of bamboo shish kabob skewers
- Mason jar
- Foam that fits inside mason jar (I bought mine in the silk flower section at Wal Mart)
- Clear tape
Gather 4-6 sheets of tissue paper and split them into 2 sections
Place foam in center of tissue paper
Flip bottom of tissue paper over foam
Pull tissue paper up past the foam, leaving about 4-5 extra inches at the top
Gather tissue paper together at the top of foam
Slide foam into mason jar and fluff up the tissue paper
Tape the wooden skewers to the back of the candy pieces
Stick candy skewers into foam
Add a bow to the neck of the mason jar and your done!
Time to surprise your sweetheart with their favorite treat!
