DIY Peter Rabbit Easter Tiered Stand

DIY Peter Rabbit Easter Tiered Stand

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail, in this adorable three-tiered galvanized stand!  On one side we see Peter peeking out of the vegetable garden among the flowers and daffodils, birds’ nests with speckled eggs, and baby chicks.  On the other side, Peter Rabbit’s sister, Flopsy, can be seen filling up her Easter basket with colorful eggs.  What a fun little scene to set the spirit of both springtime and Easter!

Supplies

This display was so easy to make and I found all the decor and figurines at various stores:

Michael’s:

  • Potted flowers
  • Loose flowers
  • Nest with speckled eggs
  • excelsior (shredded wood) for basket and bucket filler

Hobby Lobby:

  • Artichokes & Lettuce
  • Bunnies and chicks
  • Vintage chick picture with blue ribbon
  • Easter basket
  • Colorful speckled eggs
  • Boxwood stem cut into smaller pieces

Walmart:

  • Rusty Bucket
  • Burlap

Sam’s Club:

  • Galvanized Tray (they can also be found at Hobby Lobby)

Yard Sale:

Wood Handled Metal Scoop – You could probably find one online

I placed the larger items like the basket with eggs, the metal bucket with eggs, the wood handled scoop and the figurines evenly around the stand.  I then started to fill in the spaces around them with vegetables, potted and loose flowers, a bird’s nest with eggs until it felt right.

Cutting up the boxwood into smaller pieces, I stuffed them into the remaining holes that needed filling.

Cutting the bulap into 2 inch wide strips  by  6 to 8 inches long, I folded them in half, tied a string around the bottom where the fold is, then placed them randomly around.

Now you are done! Wasn’t that easy?

Happy Easter!
